Getting Started in the Adult Industry
I tried out camming when I first transitioned, but it didn’t bode well for me at the time. I decided to take a more serious approach to it back in September of 2015 and even more so recently.

Everything about my upbringing would have taken me in the complete opposite direction. My primary partner encouraged me to take the leap into camming though. She gave me guidance and helped me out significantly in the beginning. However, I feel that because I enjoy being the center of attention it makes it easy for me to jump on cam and be myself in front of thousands of people. :3
Keelin Recalls Her First Days on Cam
Very first time? oh dear… I was actually performing with my partner on LiveJasmin and it went pretty well, but we didn’t do it again after that for some reason. So, fast forward two years when I made my first solo debut on Chaturbate. I was nervous. Mostly because I was trans and hadn’t performed like this ever and I had no idea what to expect. Over the passing weeks/months I gradually became more confident and grew into my current role. I very rarely encounter any “trolls” because my followers have a tendency to police the room for me quite well. :3
That Moment Before Keelin Clicks “Start Broadcast”
I actually struggle with a fair amount of anxiety. The most difficult thing for me to do is to click on that “start broadcast” button. The moment before I do, I always feel my heart drop and time slow down. You would think that since it’s something I do so frequently it shouldn’t be a problem right? lol. Plus, most of my fans wouldn’t know it, given how confident I am on camera. I know this is a bit contradictory to one of the previous questions, but once I do start the broadcast, it’s like a curtain opens up and I feel a fresh breeze and it’s refreshing. Does that make sense?

Keelin’s Pros & Cons of Webcam Modeling
Pros: I get to meet a lot of new people and have wonderful conversations with them all the time. I smile, laugh, and empathize with so many of my fans. They’re genuine because I’m genuine and I love it.
Cons: Every show has felt like a gamble recently. Traffic appears to have dropped significantly, but I’m going to stick it out.
Keelin’s Secret to Success
I’m personable. I make it a point to talk to everyone and make sure that they’re given an equal amount of attention. It helps that I have a cute face and what others have described as “deceptive innocence.” I try to be myself 100% of the time that I’m on cam. I’m not trying to put on a different persona or a separate face. Our interactions would be akin to if we were actually hanging out offline.

Everyone knows what I do. xD I don’t make much of an effort to hide it, because it gets brought up. There’s no shame in it. It’s a real job; I pay taxes on that stuff lol.
How Being a Webcam Model Has Changed Keelin Nyx
It has helped me learn to overcome some of my anxieties, but for the most part, it has given me quite the ego boost about my appearance. I’m trans, and I would often worry about whether or not I was passing in public. I don’t have that problem anymore. 😛

Only do what you feel comfortable doing. Don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself. Never compromise on yourself either. You are not a product to be haggled over – if anything, you’re worth more than you think.

Great interview! It’s always nice to get to know the “face behind the name” so to speak, but with Keelin (and others like her) you already get that. I’ll admit I am surprised to hear of her being nervous before performances but it’s also understandable. Even if you enjoy doing something, it can be sometimes difficult to do, plus I’m sure the adrenaline is starting to go, which can make things interesting. Keelin Nyx is a compassionate individual….she truly does care about her fans. Wish her and others like her the best!
