Basically, I was scammed into doing a private show absolutely free. After it happened and I caught on, I got so angry, so I shut my laptop and took time to relax. Then, I went back onto my public broadcast and just sat and chatted with my audience. I told them the whole story, and I was tipped and complimented so much more than before just for being so nice and inspirational to everyone. Plus, I was ranked really high that night and had a lot of people coming in the room, just to chat with me!

One of the only cons is the inconsistency of payments. I made over $100 one night, and literally made one dime the next. Of course, I always make enough to pay my rent, but I can’t guarantee a set amount each day or each paycheck. The only other cons I have noticed are unsolicited photos or violating questions being sent to me on my social media. This isn’t a daily thing, but it’s not very uncommon either. I just ignore them or report them and move on with my day.

The pros very much outweigh the cons in my situation at least. Simply being paid for exploring my sexuality, building a fan base, and chatting with new and returning friends is a dream come true for me. There is also a lot I am learning about such as self-discipline and accountability since I set my own hours and what I put in is what I get out. I consider that a plus.

I am more of the sensual, submissive, silly, feminine type of model. I attract a lot of people that are genuinely friendly and want me more as a girlfriend than a sex buddy. However, I do have a backup job (basically a lie) that I tell some people that are just far too conservative to understand the sex industry in general, or people that I just feel awkward telling such as my teachers, ex coworkers, strangers, and some classmates. I also am available to make plans more often without having to beg for time off work, and my family loves the fact that they can see me more often.

Even though it has only been a couple months so far, I feel FAR more comfortable with my body and sexuality than ever before, and I am more in control of my own life. I do find myself getting a bit lazy which ties into the whole self-discipline aspect since I work from the comfort of my own bedroom, but I am finding a good balance, and I expect to be a lot more active in the coming school year.

Be true to yourself. If you never want to be nude, you never have to and can still be super successful. If you do want to get naked, that’s amazing too! If you want to do something outside of the box (or inside of the box) just do it. It’s very transparent if you’re trying to be the perfect model that you’re not or trying way too hard to be different, but it’s also transparent when you ARE being yourself and people absolutely adore that.

I have a few more tips for webcam models that I find are very important:

• NEVER do any service without being tipped first. This includes gift cards. Redeem, THEN do the service.

• Make sure your email address, social media accounts, and webpages don’t reveal your real birthdate, name, or location, and keep things away from view such as clothing that reveals your school name, street signs, certificates, family photos, etc.

• Know what is allowed and not allowed for each website you use. Some things may surprise you, like what kind of toys you can use or who you can have in your room with you.

• Never do meetups alone, and keep it in public (I suggest never to do meetups outside of an expo).
